Photography on LovaCook may be original imagery, licensed stock photography, or images sourced from third-party providers with attribution. This page describes how we source and attribute images.

Sourcing standards

• Images must clearly represent the finished dish described on the recipe page.
• Where an image cannot be verified as accurate for a specific recipe, it is removed rather than shown as if it were the dish.
• Recipes that currently lack an accurate photograph are internally flagged and excluded from image-based structured data until a suitable image is available.
• We prefer locally hosted images with descriptive filenames, accurate alt text, and explicit width and height.

Image sources and licensing

All images used on LovaCook are hosted on this domain — no images are hot-linked from external services. Recipe and category photography comes from two sources:

• Original imagery produced for LovaCook: photorealistic images created for this site and reviewed against the written recipe before publication.
• Stock photography under the Unsplash License: a smaller set of images was sourced from Unsplash, which permits free commercial use and self-hosting without attribution. These images were downloaded and are served locally from this domain rather than embedded from Unsplash.

Attribution

Where an image is licensed or provided by a third party under a licence that requires attribution, credits appear here or on the specific recipe page. If you believe an image on the site has been used incorrectly or without proper credit, please contact us through the Contact page and we will address it promptly.

Reporting an image issue

If a recipe photo does not match the recipe it appears alongside, tell us via the Contact page. We remove misleading images on receipt and replace them when an accurate image is available.
