About LovaCook

LovaCook is a small recipe blog dedicated to one thing: simple, tested home recipes that work the first time you cook them. No fancy equipment, no hard-to-find ingredients, and no 1,200-word personal essay before the ingredients list.

Everything you'll find here — from weekend breakfasts to weeknight dinners and easy desserts — is cooked, photographed, and written in a real home kitchen by Maya, the home cook behind LovaCook. It started in 2023 as a way to keep track of recipes that actually deserved to be cooked again, and grew from there.

How recipes get tested

Every recipe on this site is cooked at least three times in my own kitchen before it goes live. I write the first draft, cook from my own draft (not from memory), and rewrite anything that didn't read clearly enough. If it's a baking recipe, that number is usually closer to five or six.

I weigh ingredients in grams as well as cups because grams are honest and cups are not. I time things with an actual timer. If a step in the recipe says "5 minutes", it means five minutes — not "until you feel like it."

What you won't find here

No 1,200-word personal essay before the recipe. No "this is the best ever" claims. No sponsored content disguised as recommendations. If a recipe uses a specific brand, it's because I genuinely think it matters — and I'll say why.
